A drink in one hand, his easy smile and lighthearted conversation flow freely, charming those nearby without overtly vying for attention. He plays the part of the jester, loosening the tension among the guests with playful remarks and open laughter. But behind those bright eyes and unguarded laughter, he watches, observes—quick to catch the faintest whisper or slip of the tongue.

 

While some may dismiss him as just another Toreador lost in the frivolities, a few suspect there's more to the carefree act. Those who know his past know that Wali has much to prove tonight, and perhaps more to gain. One moment, he’s the Ausdauer's lively diplomat, the next, a silent observer of every guarded exchange. Unassuming yet ever perceptive, Waltari might just have the upper hand, even if no one’s looking for it.
